Dan was born in Far Rockaway, and moved to East Rockaway when he was four. He graduated from Lynbrook High School and UMass-Amherst.

After school, he worked for WNEW-AM Radio producing "The Sports Connection," a sports talk show hosted by Richard Neer and Rick Cerone. He then went on to write for the sports trivia game show "Grandstand," before moving on to work as a field producer for Sportschannel America.

After serving as an associate producer for "Around the NFL" on MSG, Dan started his latest venture, a publication called "Jets Confidential." It’s a weekly newspaper about the New York Jets. His "Whispers" column has become a must read for Jets fans. The publication is available on newsstands and by subscription.

Dan also co-hosts, "Press Coverage" and "NFL Rewind" on Sirius NFL Radio.

Dan is single and lives in New York City.
